2005-09-09 [Rondel]: I honestly wonder what it will take to get you out of that household, Dela. I can't see anything else being healthy for you, and not just because of this. You deserve so much better; ALL kids do, from their parents. It's what being a parent is about -- loving your kid(s) -- ALL of your kid(s) -- and doing right by them, regardless of your personal problems, hangups, whatever. I am just glad you've seen something different, in your "pagan parents". At least you've had that kind of unconditional love & acceptance, from SOMEONE. At least you know what it is. *grieves for Dela's situation* Must sleep now, or I'd stay longer -- but morning birds are calling, & I wanna sleep before day.
2005-09-09 [Delladreing]: oh dont worry about me Rondel love, I've hacked this for 18 years, one more year wont kill me...i hope...(i joke i joke) as soon as things improve for me financially i'll maybe look for my own place, but i have responsabiliti
2005-09-09 [Delladreing]: and good night [Rondel] take good care.
2005-09-09 [Azuri]: Blah so i finally got it almost all set up i just have to figure out whichs element goes in which direction and more importaintly which direction is which>.< Does anyone know of any spells for job employment??Oh and Dela I agree with [Rondel]Your parents are Wacked out.But at least you turned out good:D Ive always had my room Cleaned/Raided all my life it seems normal i guess though id never do it to my children because ya kno it pisses me off. It catchs me off guard when i meet people whos parents never did that.
2005-09-10 [hanhepi]: my mom never raided my room. not that she would have found much controban (sp?) in it anyway. i was terrified to bring drugs into the house, my luck the dogs would tip her off. but my mom was pretty lieniant (sp?). i do hope that i will be too as far as my childrens faith is concerned. I mean, unless they join some weird cult where they thinkk the aliens are going to come for them after they drink this special kool aid... then i might have to step in and smack them with a bible or something. hehe. bible thump them, literaly. :D but wiccan or some sort of paganisim would be ok, as long as it is an informed decision, and not just a "but wicca is what the other cool kids are into" kind of deal
2005-09-10 [Azuri]: *nod* I think if my children come to me telling me they are of a diffrient religion im going to look into it to make sure its nothing horrible or anything but as long as it doesnt do any harm to them and they made it of a informed decision i dont care what religion they choose i would hope anyway that they would be able to talk to me about those things. i was never able to talk to any adult in my family about my faith
2005-09-10 [nokaredes]: I think my mom is like a cross between Dela's and [Azuri]'s. >_< She cleans and organises my room the way she wants it, and 'because it's her house' I can't do anything about it when she takes things away from me. And my brother almost burned the house down once, when he was 11ish, so my mom is paranoid that I'll do the same. >_< As if!
2005-09-10 [Azuri]: I always told my mom if she didnt like the way my room was she could shut my door but that never worked as she pulled the "my house" thing. Oo my mom wouldnt let me have candles in my room as i burnt a hold in the floor by droping a piece of lit paper on the floor^.^ it was so on accident i was doing a spell and didnt think ahead>.< of course i said i dropped a candle but you cant do that kind of damage with just droping a candle^.^
2005-09-10 [nokaredes]: No, you do worse because then there's wax stuck to the floor. ^^;
2005-09-10 [nokaredes]: But my witches item is an ordinary axe-shaped mood necklace that I blessed for protection at a friend's house. ^_^
2005-09-10 [Azuri]: ah well no no there was wax stuck in the carpet too^.^ though to be honest i dont remmeber how it got there though. And im quite proud that i was able to hide the hole for like 2 whole months^.^
2005-09-10 [nokaredes]: The only time I ever burned something was one day when I was really pissed off at my mom and I set fire to something that was on my pillow...I replaced the pillow and my mom never knew. But I didn't do it with a candle...
2005-09-10 [Azuri]: Lol wow very nice. thats kinda what i did i ment to fix it before she found out but i kept forgetting as i was never really ever home^.^
2005-09-10 [nokaredes]: I'm always home. I took me a while to actually get to the store LOL
2005-09-10 [Azuri]: Lol I made a point to never be home. Yea my stepdad bitch cause i wasnt there but he bitch that i was there too and that way at least i didnt have to hear it^.^
2005-09-10 [nokaredes]: My mom's always telling me to go away...mostly when she gets home from work, because that's when I ask to go for a walk and she says no. Because then I have to annoy her. >_>
2005-09-10 [Azuri]: Hmm she wants you to go away but wont let you go for a walk?
2005-09-10 [nokaredes]: She wants me to go to my room or something, to not be pestering her...but not be 'meeting someone' or 'doing speed in the park' as she has accused me of doing in the past.
2005-09-10 [Azuri]: Oo Lunacy what is the world coming to>.<
2005-09-10 [nokaredes]: ...I don't know.
2005-09-10 [nokaredes]: Although my Christian friends say 'the Rapture'...
2005-09-10 [Azuri]: yea i hear that alot what with my 3 church sessions each week>.< Oh and alot at home now too cause my grandpas the preacher
2005-09-10 [nokaredes]: Ick. I feel sorry for you.
2005-09-10 [Azuri]: Ive never thought about having a selective mass murder more than when i was in church>.<
2005-09-10 [nokaredes]: Me either.
2005-09-10 [Azuri]: they once got very preachy about pagans and our holidays in there and i wanted to stand up and be like "HEY!!! IM PAGAN STFU!!!"
2005-09-10 [Rondel]: If it helps any, not all priests are like that. I've known a few who were quite accepting, including of paganism. Fred Small (a Unitarian minister) is a good example. But then, I know that many right-wing Christians don't consider Unitarians to be "true Christians". *sigh* My parents' Episcopal priest was accepting, too, though -- he's a bit unusual, I guess. For one thing, he's gay, and was in a committed relationship for at least part of the time I knew him. He also wrote an Easter play once that cast *ME* in the role of "God", before I left the church. Did I ever tell you that I used to teach Sunday School? My faith has always been strong, but putting words to it was something
2005-09-10 [Rondel]: that took time. I was raised in a very unusual liberal form of Christianity, with a strong influence from things like Celtic Catholicism, etc. I got the whole "smells & bells" thing from an early age, & that part didn't change, regardless of the context in which I tried to relate to my internal beliefs. The central premise of the Christianity on which I was raised was "God is Love", & that was a very inclusive Love, so it took a while before I got fed up enough with the things I read in the Bible (reading it for myself was one of the keys to my leaving). In the end, the breaking point was classical -- like a classic witch, I could no longer recite the Lord's Prayer. Actually, it was the
2005-09-10 [Rondel]: Nicene Creed, but the principle was the same. I CANNOT, WILL NOT, profess that which I do not believe. After that, I took a long hard look at the mythic truths which DID embody the underlying reality in which I believed, & came to realize that I was (as I jokingly put it, only to find it was the literal truth) "a Zen (actually Taoist) Pagan agnostic". But, I'd known too many "party pagans" to be comfortable calling myself "Wiccan" or "witch" or even "neopagan", for a long time. It was my then-fiance-no
2005-09-10 [Rondel]: "energy work" together, before, but that was the first time we did so in a religious context; it was new & different to learn that someone else shared my beliefs, at such a fundamental level. That was probably one of the things that my mother didn't like about our relationship (I eventually had to deal with the "my roof, my rules" thing by renting half the house from my parents), but -- & this is important -- the "energy work" was something she herself was comfortable with, in a Christian context! She & my step-father had me teach them to ground & center, at one point, at their request. I'm rather terrifying to most Christians to argue with - after proof-reading my step-father's theology
2005-09-10 [Rondel]: papers, & teaching the religion myself, it's hard for them to put forth any sort of logical argument to which I cannot provide an answer FROM WITHIN THEIR BELIEF SYSTEM. Not easy on their psyches, & they usually give up the argument & either resort to rhetoric, or flee to preserve their feeling of security in their beliefs, unless they are open-minded enough to accept the concept that there are other ways to view the teachings of their Bible, & their faith. I have NO BEEF whatsoever with those Christians who are open to accepting that, though. It's all just a framework for understanding deeper truths, anyway. For some, it's the framework that works for them - but we reach the same place.
2005-09-10 [Rondel]: I think that's why my mother kept hoping that I would come back to sitting on that fence, as yet another of the many "Episcopagans" we've both known over the years. But I have too much problem with some of the central tenets of the faith (like knocking up one's handmaiden without her prior knowledge or consent) for it ever to be the myth cycle which works for me, as an avenue to understanding reality.
2005-09-10 [Delladreing]: ah the joy of scaring people with their own beliefs, i do that a lot...but always in the name of education. the inflow from christiam folk messaging me to tell me i was an ungodly heathen has stopped because i have shown that i can argue their religion aswell as my own. i think a lot of them were amazed that i could not only quote bible scriptures to them near on word for word without looking it up so much as they were amazed that i had not combusted into flames from picking it up. ive just spent the past siz years studying it from a scholars point of view along with haveing being made to conform to it for the first ten years of my life, its shocking how even a "godless heathen"...
2005-09-10 [Delladreing]: as i have been branded before on here knows more about the faith of the person preaching it. to me that is shocking. i would not have written playgans if i had not known my facts. im good at arguing my point, ive won awards for it (surprised? *grins*) every argument i make will be air tight. *sigh* i have a lot to say on this particualr subject, but i dont have the time right now, im meant to be working, and the computer is "off-limits" (oops) oh well, i will come back :P
2005-09-10 [Azuri]: Wow a teacher fun.the most ive done in a church is watch after the kids while they took a course that was worth college credit(3 hours!! EVERY FRIDAY) they wanted me to join in on the course but i asked how that was gonna help with my major i could spend that time acually doing homework or something intresting. If im going to argue something like the both of you i try to be well informed only i have a issue with my brain i dont really memorize things very well.>.<Thought that is partly my fault as i was a pothead for a good two years and finally figured out hey this is retarded im stopping! So for the last 1 1/2 my brain has been recoving from the damaged i stupidly delt it. Anyway it is
2005-09-10 [Azuri]: kinda amusing to see the others responces when you effectively argue their religion sometimes when arguing others religions expessaly christians(as those are what im currently surronded with>.<)You have to wonder if they acually ever stoped to listien to what the bible says. And playgans Blah those piss me off the most but i havent had to deal with one since i got here(hmm wonder why)
2005-09-11 [Rondel]: I have memory problems, myself, [Azuri], although mine are related to my health problems, not so much due to external substances. However, unless you were an *extreme* pothead, I'd be surprised if your memory was permanently damaged by 2 years of use -- particularly as cannabinoids have been shown to affect primarily short-term memory, rather than long-term memory. You may find that if you don't accept the memory problems as innate, you can retrain your brain, & recover your long-term memory. My experience with medicinal cannabis users (AIDS, etc.) would suggest as much, as well as the reading I've done on the subject, in the medical journals. Ever done memory exercises?
2005-09-11 [Azuri]: Memory exercises? Cant say i have.
2005-09-11 [sequeena_rae]: I need memory excercises >.<
2005-09-11 [Azuri]: Heh i think i do too

2005-09-12 [Rondel]: I'm not sure which is worse -- sexy sumo wrestlers, or ebil baby chickens. LOL I know what you mean about language issues. When we moved to Australia from the US, we ran into them left right and center. We couldn't even use the Yellow Pages, because we couldn't figure out what the store categories were called. LOL And the number of Aussies I made blush before someone explained to me just WHY they call "fanny packs" "bum bags", here... LOL (hint to Americans -- here, you still sit on your fanny, but only if you're female, because only females have one...) After that, the whole "power point"/"electr
2005-09-12 [sequeena_rae]: lmao power point to me is a plug
2005-09-12 [Delladreing]: lol this is what my wiki is reduced to when i leave it alone for a few hours, sumis and ebil baby chickens, good god :p

2005-09-12 [sequeena_rae]: *gaspy gasp gasp* Me? *looks around* Oh yeah XD
2005-09-12 [Delladreing]: yes you *flashes a light in your eyes* where were you on the night of the 11th? o.o
2005-09-12 [sequeena_rae]: *blinks* I wasn't where you think I was *innocence*
2005-09-12 [Delladreing]: uhu, thats what they all say o.-.
2005-09-12 [sequeena_rae]: Honestly *more innocence*

2005-09-12 [sequeena_rae]: Well I am glad it amused you :P I enjoy my randamo's
2005-09-12 [Delladreing]: they are always fun ^^
2005-09-12 [sequeena_rae]: Yes lol but most of the time I can't remember what I was talking about
2005-09-12 [Delladreing]: oh i never do, and then i look back through some wikis or messages and its like "..the hell was i on then?" lol
2005-09-12 [sequeena_rae]: I know it comes out of no where and you're like "Woah someone had too much caffeine"
2005-09-12 [Delladreing]: hehe indeed
2005-09-12 [a faerie tale]: GAH! I have to do a stupid report on the comparisons between the neolithic time period, and the paleolithic time periods.....wi
2005-09-12 [sequeena_rae]: *sighs* never
2005-09-13 [Maurer's conclusions]: What's boring about that?
2005-09-13 [Azuri]: whats neolithic and paleolithic???
2005-09-13 [nokaredes]: Neolithic: "of or relating to the cultural period of the Stone Age beginning around 10,000 B.C. Also referred to as the New Stone Age." Paleolithic: "Of or relating to the cultural period of the Stone Age beginning with the earliest chipped stone tools, about 750,000 years ago." *yawns and tries to pretend she hasn't ever researched that outside of school*
2005-09-13 [Avoral]: They're parts of the stone age. In paleolithic times, they only had the really ghetto chipped rock-stuff for tools. Neolithic times (skipping mesolithic, because you didn't ask) were when they settled down like in Mesopotamia and started farming and making real stone tools.
2005-09-13 [sequeena_rae]: *falls asleep*
2005-09-13 [nokaredes]: It's weird that we all answered almost an hour later, and in the same minute. >_>
2005-09-13 [sequeena_rae]: lol I only just got on
2005-09-13 [Avoral]: *Blinks* Holy crap, all that wasn't there before! *Posted 15 seconds after the snowman-stalke
2005-09-13 [Avoral]: That's creeeeepy.
2005-09-13 [sequeena_rae]: *nods*
2005-09-13 [Azuri]: yay for creepy things:D
2005-09-13 [sequeena_rae]: *dances*
2005-09-13 [Azuri]: *dances too* Yay dancey dancey dancey!
2005-09-13 [sequeena_rae]: *rolls about* abnormality rules!
2005-09-13 [Azuri]: Why Yes It Does:D
2005-09-14 [I stabbith ye]: I want to write something....Y
2005-09-14 [sequeena_rae]: *claps* well done
2005-09-14 [Avoral]: If it's actually abnormality.
2005-09-14 [Delladreing]: its on my wiki, theres bound to be some kind of abnormality
2005-09-14 [sequeena_rae]: o_O
2005-09-14 [Avoral]: Yeah, true.
2005-09-14 [sequeena_rae]: *grins* I blame it all on cheese
2005-09-14 [Delladreing]: yes but thats because you're the ringleader of the insaity that happens when im not here :p
2005-09-14 [Avoral]: Behold, the power of cheese.
2005-09-14 [Delladreing]: and lines
2005-09-14 [sequeena_rae]: *puts on a crown* Yes I am ze ringleader *grabs cheese* All hail the cheese!
2005-09-14 [Delladreing]: *ignores the cheese* theres only one true queen of chaos and insaity violence and smiting, and thats me :p
2005-09-14 [Delladreing]: *nibbles the cheese*
2005-09-14 [sequeena_rae]: *grabs cheese* How can you be sure? *pokes you* I am queen of panic, chaos and destruction :P
2005-09-14 [Delladreing]: oho really, whos wiki is this?
2005-09-14 [sequeena_rae]: hehe you but you didn't say on this wiki :P
2005-09-14 [Delladreing]: ...like I need to :p
2005-09-14 [sequeena_rae]: *grin* well you know you need to, especially when I'm around
2005-09-14 [a faerie tale]: Bah. You both can be sheriff!
2005-09-14 [sequeena_rae]: Sheriff? no I want to be maid marion ^_^ lol
2005-09-14 [a faerie tale]: Oh wait....that's from my FATHERS childhood! >.<
2005-09-14 [sequeena_rae]: Woah no way I love Robin Hood: Prince of theives...The one with Kevin Costner and Alan Rickman
2005-09-14 [Maurer's conclusions]: Kevin Costner's English accent is a bit shabby in that one. The best is the Errol Flynn one from the 50s.
2005-09-14 [sequeena_rae]: He has no english accent period >.< I love the part Alan Rickman played, he done it so funny
2005-09-15 [Rondel]: Funny you should mention that -- I just ran across a mention of the 1980s Showtime series, "Robin of Sherwood", which has many pagan references including a human representation of Herne the Hunter, throughout the series. Has anyone else here ever encountered any of the pagan-oriented Robin Hood myths? As for Costner, I hated his Robin Hood -- he has NO English accent, and Robin Hood wasn't from Texas. But the one that came out at around the same time, "Robin Hood: Men in Tights", was quite delightful. :)
2005-09-15 [Avoral]: Men in Tights was hilarious. An ex of mine had the entire movie committed to memory.
2005-09-15 [Delladreing]: hehe its a good film, and yes i have Rondel, Robin Hood I feel is very much the same as a kind of Jack the Green figure or even the Greenman.
2005-09-15 [Azuri]: Robin Hood: Men In Tights is the ONLY Live action Robin Hood movie I will watch^.^
2005-09-15 [sequeena_rae]: I haven't seen that one...Or maybe I have...
2005-09-15 [Azuri]: the only two ill watch is that one and the disney one with the animals:D but thats cause its animated and the rooster looks like the one from back home but i asure you the rooster isnt the only reasons
2005-09-15 [sequeena_rae]: I love that one ^_^
2005-09-15 [Azuri]: Heh yea its great
2005-09-15 [sequeena_rae]: and the snake rocks...and the bear ^_^
2005-09-15 [Azuri]: *nod nod* very much so
2005-09-15 [sequeena_rae]: *dances*
2005-09-15 [Azuri]: *Does the chicken dance*
